Mpumalanga
Mpumalanga offers from exhilarating wildlife, to secluded mountain retreats,
ancient ruined cities, wild water sports and some of South Africa's most
diverse African cultures plus year-round sunny weather.
Mpumalanga is your gateway to the world's greatest conservation area - the
100-year old
Kruger
National Park.
The region is home to the world's largest concentrations of free roaming
elephant, lion, rhino, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, and literally hundreds of
other species of wild mammal.
Mpumalanga's wilderness offering range from the super-exclusive private
lodges of the
Sabi Sand Nature Reserve to the pristine wilderness areas bordering the
Kruger Park on the south near Malelane.
Sabi Sand Nature Reserve
The Sabi Sand has a reputation that it offers the best game
viewing you’ll find in South Africa as this area is known to have the
greatest diversification of animal species on the African continent. Over
two hundred different species occur in abundance and the bird life will
fascinate even the most experienced ornithologist.
Malelane
Area
The area south and adjacent to the Kruger Park is
very accessible and most lodges are located in the Malelane area. There is
plenty of game to be found and bird viewing is excellent.
Kruger Park
Areas within the Kruger Park were allocated to private concessionaries on
which luxury game lodges were established.
