to the very small with more than 1 million ha of land being formally
protected.
For game viewing in a National Park with accommodation facilities the
Bontebok National Park
(Swellendam) and
De Hoop
Nature Reserve near Bredasdorp, both
about 3 hours from Cape Town and the
Karoo National Park
near Beaufort West offer the best opportunities.
